Lieberman is the only one I would think would intend to focus in a serious way on foreign affairs, and I don't have a lot of confidence in his ability.

If I believed my husband was cheating on me for the reasons you so humorously outline above. And I look into it and I find all the explanations you mention, then I would be relieved to believe that everything was fine with me and my husband. But if it turned out, on closer scrutiny that the "blind cousin" was also at the cross dressing performance, and had been seen entering my husbands dressing room after his performance, and they had stayed there for longer than was necessary for my husband to change, and if he had been seen afterwards in a local restaurant, smooching with his cousin (who was wearing bright red lipstick), and the local priest is making harassing phone calls because he's upset with my husband for screwing around with his girl friend, who turns out to be my husband's blind cousin, then my conclusion would not be one of relief (unless I didn't like my husband anyway) but rather I would see the possibility that the separate, all true explanations were in fact linked and the more basic truth hidden behind the fact of their separate truths.

ROTFLMAO!

Oh, and I see I was the nth one to react to Brand X - but then again, (s)he hasnt actually responded yet, so ...

Here's a little something from my daughter on this subject.

>From the party that invented such chilly treats as Dick Cheney and Ann Coulter comes a new frigid dish: Star Spangled Ice Cream (www.starspangledicecream.com), a line of premium pints - created by three self-described "members of the vast right-wing conspiracy" - that hopes to wave a banner for conservatives just as Ben & Jerry's does for liberal causes. (In fact, a portion of Star Spangled profits will be donated to military charities.) To counter famously bleeding-heart flavors like Cherry Garcia and Rainforest Crunch, Star Spangled offers I Hate the French Vanilla, Smaller GovernMint, and Iraqi Road. But can their Nutty Environmentalist stand up to B&J's Butter Pecan? Sorry, they don't make any ice-milk flavors (although B&J does have light which is damn good). We should administer a taste test to a coalition of pundits - maybe like two conservatives, two liberals, and some famous flip-flopper from Berkeley or Cal State - and see which flavors really come out on top, and which ones appeal to which minds. I'll work on it and let you know.

Saw one poll this morning, I think MSN, and Bush had slipped below 50% in job evaluation.

Brand X, You see, it's wrong for our country to kill thousands of innocent people to try to assassinate one Saddam. It may seem totally ethical and logical to some, but not to me!

BTW, any place I worked, if one's review evaluation came out at less than 50% favorable, someone would be worring about losing one's job.

Seen any Democratic candidate who doesnt want to fight Al-Qaeda?

The last administration, and all I was doing was pointing out that it is possible for whoever wins the election, no matter which side of the isle they are on could lack the resolve to act in an effective manner, as demonstrated by the last administration IMO. I never insinuated that ci should vote for Bush, nor did I insinuate that any of the Dem candidates would lack in this area, yet everyone wants to jump down my throat about it.

Too many on this forum are rude and condescending, seldom giving benefit of the doubt, just shoot first and ask questions later, sound familiar?

So this is my last post on A2K forums, I'm tired of the elitism here.

Lightwizard seems to be ignorant of the fact that there is really only one evaluation that counts- that of the Presidential Election--on Nov. 2, 2004.

Because if Lightwizard was correct, Bill Clinton would have been removed quickly in June of 1993 when his Job Approval Rating was at a HORRENDOUS 37%.

P Diddle's post on redistricting yesterday indeed misses the "reality" of what is occuring.

Quote:

Senate tentatively OK's redistricting

Austin- After a four month battle that included tow Democratic walkouts, the Texas Senate tentatively approved a redisticting map Tuesday that would give Republicans more seats in Congress.

The bill, approved 18-13, is expected to receive final approval Wednesday. The House already has approved its own bill.

After Democrats ended a 45 day boycott, the Senate spent nine hours debating the merits of the plan. Democrats have a 17-15 edge in the Texas Congressional delegation. Republicans say that the remapping could give them from three to five seats."

Some of the philosophizing on this post is interesting but I do hope that the realists understand that, in the final analysis, any president, yes, even Bill Clinton, who could not really get any of his favorite legislation passed during his eight year tenure, must have his party in control of the Senate and the House.

With such events as those occuring in Texas, it would seem more and more unlikely.

Thank you Sofia- I hope you saw that post I made with regard to your "excellent" South Georgia Education. I took umbrage at Professor Hobibit's comment since my Uncle graduated from Georgia Tech--A great School.

P. Diddie offers us Dean's comment. I am heartened. I have contributed to the Dean Campaign and I do think that a Dean candidacy will be the best thing that ever happened to America.
