He simply doesn't understand that reading good English writings is like a clear creek that happily flows to moisten our thirsty soul and nourish it.

@oristarA,
Ori, very obscure point but it's not the reading that's like a creek but the writings. The reading is like drinking or swimming in it

Also I'd have writ, "…moisten and nourish our thirsty soul"

Yes, writing did. Well, alrady edited it. How about now?

He simply doesn't understand that good English writings are like a clear creek that happily flows to moisten and nourish our soul.
Does it sound native?

Actually, its OK, but for popular use,
I 'd tweak it, thus:
He simply doesn't understand that good English writing
is like a clear creek that happily flows
to moisten our thirsty souls and nourish them.

This suggests each of us has his own soul.

Yes. Its perfect.

I can easily speak of the writings
of Adam Smith & of Barry Goldwater.

A lot of the time, writings are considered as a unitary body of work,
such I might say that:
In my writing, my sentences tend to be longer than ideal.
