I prefer my rats be fed d-Con. With Brodifacoum 056073-10- 0 in a 0.005% solution.

The only person who mentioned rat poison was that dick bob. Just ignore him. He gives a lot of smart ass remarks that are useless. I think he suffers from "Old Man Weird Sense of Humor Syndrome"

Anyway, the following is a good link giving good info on what you should feed your rat.
The person also provides a receipe, but just glancing at it, it seems like a lot of work.

I think you'd be fine with a good commercial rat food.

BTW, what did you name your rat? Got any pictures?
