About online Dating!

Hi. Hope things are going okay. I went through a period where I was online dating. I felt lonely and wanted someone to love. I met a lot of people. It can be trouble if you make it out to be, so you have to be very careful. I fell in love the once with this guy on Skype. He turned out to be nothing more than a player. He was messing with people's lives. Yes I am a guy as well bi I am. Lots of it lead to depression. What's bad about it is that people can make themselves look like a model or something on a picture, but them they could be way different in person, as I have found out before. So be careful and stay safe. It can be a good way of meeting someone, but you should always take care when using the internet for stuff like this.

Hi yes from the experiences I know now how to recognize, honestly I have lost faith on those now days... and I am not looking now. so for me it does not matter what they say or how they say or how they act.

I met my dude in an online chatroom. We've been together for 5 years. I met others previously the same way and felt lucky to have known them.

You can have good or horrible experiences, depending on your safety knowledge, maturity, luck (I guess) and expectations.

That's about it.
I chatted with a wonderful woman on line for a year.
I made it a point not to ask for her photo.
When we met she was as cute as a bug and I hugged her in gratitude.

I've known all types of people that engage in online dating. There was a time when i thought it was for desperate types only. Now...not so much. I think it's just a modern avenue. It works for some and not for others. Watch out for the catfish! I haven't done it myself since I'm happily married...but seems some find someone they truly love. My best friend found her husband online.

@Germlat yes I think so too it works for some people and for some it is not. But I met some wonderful friends out there,,, too.

Yes I have listen lots of stories with online dating but I think only FB is good for it.

Face book? how come there also any one can upload a fake picture or not? Once a another cyber friend told me too but I cannot understand how that can be different than other sites?
