Diet sodas are bad as well...they are much sweeter than sugar drinks and according to my waitress friend diet soda drinkers order 3 to 1 compared to regular soda drinkers.

Diabetes prevention can be managed with following parameters :

• check or diagnose all your body check up with blood, urine & sugar level
• get your check up done every six monthly bases
• do not indulges yourself in stressful or heatic schedule
• eat regularly every after 2 to 3 hours
• drink more of water
• eat more fibrous food
• eat more juice & plenty of fluids
• exercise daily for 15-30 minutes
• do not allow to increase your weight above your body mass index
• do not eat junk or spicy food
• avoid meat & alcohol on regular bases

To prevent diabetes, A person should make healthy food choices which help to manage your weight and cholesterol. Eat more and more fruits, vegetables, whole grains. Try to cut back on high-fat foods like fried foods, cheese, milk etc. Eat plenty of fiber food, lose extra weight, get more exercise.
