I don t feel persecuted in the slightest; never did,
but I actually had this happen:
in another century, one of my residential tenants told me that
she had come home n ascended the stoop leading to my front door.
She looked diagonally down across the ally into my nabor's cellar,
where she saw my teenaged nabor masturbating; she complained
about the expression on his face. She pounded on the front
and the back doors of the house. She called the police.
(I was not aware of this until she told me a few days later.)
Because of the expression on the boy's face, she feared
that he was going to "attack" her 15 year old daughter.
(I doubt that thay ever met.)
She said that the responding police officer said that
if he had seen the boy doing that, then he 'd have
put his foot thru the nabor's window.
I 'm trying to remember whether I apologized to my nabor
for her having caused any trouble. I think I did; not sure.
On reflection, I believe that I DID apologize
to the boy involved for that disturbance with the police.
He dismissed it as being inconsequential.
