I need help with my grammar course can u solve these tense please

the test wants me to state what each of these are
i.e if i see her, i'll tell her (first conditional)

my brother is much shorter than you
the new supermarket was opened last year
i have already told you
he is swimming really well
i haven't been to the gym for years
if you don't do the work, you wont pass the exam
i cant play the saxophone
he's been working all night

hello bobsal i have had a go and this is what i guessed


my brother is much shorter than you: adjective
the new supermarket was opened last year: present perfect
i have already told you: present perfect simple
he is swimming really well: present perfect simple
i haven't been to the gym for years; present perfect
if you don't do the work, you wont pass the exam: second conditional
i cant play the saxophone: modal verb
he's been working all night: past perfect

by the way these are all wrong

Kent gave his answers, Dale, and he figured they were all wrong, which was false. I forget how many were right but some were.

Kent, are you a native English speaker?

Unless the course Kent is taking is specifically a grammar course, there is no reason to waste students' time with this type of study. It doesn't help anyone learn a language, it only helps them learn about a language, usually in a very poor manner.
