?????? and here I thought you were a "Wussie" I suppose you're only 45 or so and a health addict. The only rocks you'll find me on are the pebbles leading up to a mountain cabin. I'm a pilot--remember---I've got much better things to do than risk what little life I have left climbing ROCKs. But then I suspect you knew that----now you can call me a Wussie!

I'm looking at the laundry pile and thinking of doing some sock climbing. That could be fun.

Maybe a few Gilbert and Sullivan choruses will get us to a new page.

Depending on how you look at it; there is no such thing. 100 years ago the most of Europe (especially France) had their vineyards decimated by a tiny bug called Phylloxera. They were mostly replanted with good ole California vines. Interesting side points:

1. The bug came from the U.S in the first place. Embarrassed
2. California is suffering from a similar problem with the same bugs now! Shocked

Wineries elsewhere should see a surge in business if they can get the quality up to par.

New Mexico has no bugs. No self respecting bug would dare try to survive in our high desert heat. Smile

France grafted their vine stock, California didn't feel it was necessary. Now France laughs at America. Laughing

You're right and California wines have now topped French wines in price.

Darn, I thought that post might get us to the next page. What we need, dare I say, is a certain poster to come aboard and endlessly quote the dictionary.

If you're coming to California, this is one of the best wine tours but be warned -- you're liable to end up like Eddie and Patsy in their Provance wine tasting episode and not quite make it to your car.
Well, Eddie did make it but colapsed on the car seat.

I'm think we need to stretch this vertically to get out of the spread:
