A tourist had to be stretchered off one of Scotland's highest mountains after hurting his ankle while climbing - in flip-flops. The man and two friends were exploring Aonach Mor near Fort William when he slipped. The men had taken the gondola up the mountain - a sister peak of the UK's highest mountain, Ben Nevis - on Wednesday and set off to reach a snow patch. Lochaber Mountain Rescue team were called out, and they said one of the injured man's companions was bare-foot when the rescue team reached them, and the other was wearing trainers.
