HELP ME WITH A FUNNY/SERIOUS GET WELL

just got a text that a friend just received 2 kidneys. Hed been on dialysis and was on the John Hopkins list for a kidney. Turns out he got 2 . It all happened while we are away . Hi family was all poised for the worst but hes back strong. So his kid can forget about getting a fortune for now.
His creatin levels are almost back to normal after a week. I need to come up with something that Hallmark would have no idea where to start.
Then I thought of you.
Please?

What about a "Now all they've gotta do is ........." card?

Multiple options......

......fix your ears/nose/double chin, etc.

.......find you a brain.

......make you attractive to women.

......get rid of the beergut.

.......give you more than three inches.

It depends on how well you know him, and how much you can get away with.

@Lordyaswas,
On a serious note, and I'm breaking my privacy rule purely to get people to carry a donor card, my younger brother died this April, for want of a new kidney.
He'd been on the waiting list since 2012, and had a few false hope moments, but alas it was not to be. He would have loved a card. The ruder the better.

Your friend's family must be over the moon, and I wish him a long and full life.

@Lordyaswas,
that's an iidea. Hes a good friend. He apparently was in a prep mode when we lft to come up to MAine. I talked with him the day before and asked him to keep me updated . He gets it all done, he gets sent home. Hes in a kidney checkup schedule (what ith all the infections potentials and the anti rejection stuff.

It goddam amazing what medicine has accomplished in my lifetime. I remember when leukemia for kids was an automatic death sentence and dialysis was a new tool .
Or when transplantation was done, it was usually merely a life extension for a year or so.(unless it was from a twin or a close family member)

@farmerman,
So watch what you eat and get nimble on them feet

Take it easy at first, we don't want them kidneys to burst

Ease back into it my friend so no jogging this weekend

Always an eye for a bargain, two for one you son of a gun

You must remember this
A piss is just a piss, a sigh is just a sigh
The fundamental things apply
As time goes by

@farmerman,
Yeah, me too, farmer. I used to do HLA typing back in my last laboratory job in the late seventies - and so much more knowledge has seemed to have happened since. That was tricky back then; we'd get samples from all over the world and some of them were on the old side when they arrived.
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HLA-B27)

Great idea about the donor cards, Lordy. I'll check it out. I used to carry one in California, and I've forgotten about it since then. (I'm probably too damned old)

On the well wishes - I haven't come up with a good and funny one yet. Like Lordy's idea.

@eurocelticyankee,
Im going to incluse som of the other wordplays S WELL, BUT THIS TAKE ON "As Time Goes By" will be to his liking.

Last year he lost his wife to cancer and has, recently, been adopted by a younger lady friend who is a real charmer. Were going to get back home quickly so we will drop over on Friday and pay a visit with something dodged up from these contributions. Thanks guys.
