The French musical system of "Solfeggio" (gosh, that sounds Italian) is featured in the Sound of Music song which starts "Doe, a deer..."

In that system, the notes are given names

Doh
Re
Mi
Fah
Soh
Lah
Te
Doh

That is "a scale", which can be sung up and down.

If you play the white notes on a piano, the sequence C-D-E-F-G-A-B-C gives the scale of C Major.
Sing it up and down to the names given above, and next year, maybe La Scala, Milan. Smile
