@laura1472,
Productivity is more about a description of an ability or having a quality of effectiveness. Whereas, production is the actual quantitative result of a work effort...measured in units or inventory.

Here's an example of usage:
"Productivity has been improved greatly at the plant by new safety and assembly line procedures."

"Production of inventory of cars has been increased by 100 cars per week."

@Butrflynet,
I agree strongly with butrflynet.

I sometimes thumb down anonymous and his or her or both's at least four other names, because the posts probably confuse newcomers to a2k, and subvert useful discussion. This has bothered me as I don't like posting down an ill person who seems sans control.

I've changed my mind. Thumbs down, until I hear and believe this person is getting help from mental health specialists. In the various personas, she/he has claimed to be schizophrenic and bipolar and that might be true, or not.

In my case, in my preferences, I have opted out of having others thumbs down affect what I see, so I will still see all the new posts by this person. Oh, well.
