I'm 27, male, working in a retail store in Canada. I get along fairly well with my coworkers, and enjoy casually flirting with a few of them.
Today I was approached by one of the coworkers and was told that she had a crush on me and wanted to go out on a date with me. This sounded fine until I learned she was 17, turning 18 in a couple months. Is it legal for me to do this?
@AnonymousRanger,
Without sex, it's probably fine. But don't go out with people you work with. It's almost always a truly lousy idea.
@AnonymousRanger,
Of course it's legal, why wouldn't it be? Unwise, perhaps, but legal.
Are you talking about a sexual relationship? No worries there, under most circumstances, either:

But IMO, yes, you're too old and she's too young. You're a grown man and she's a bit of a girl.

The age of consent in Canada is 16.
@contrex,
Sorry, I'm missing your point...unless you're equating a date with sex?
I posted a link re age of consent.
