The mindset of everybody being armed becomes, I must shoot. That same person, without a gun, would not feel threatened enough to kill. So, really, guns do kill.

When I point out basic truths about the foundation underpinning all legal systems, I'm not really trying to convince anyone of anything. I'm just pointing out reality.

You are wrong in two different ways simultaneously.

First, Afghanistan attacked us (they were responsible for 9/11). Therefore our invasion of Afghanistan is a just war of self defense.

Not only that, even if the invasion wasn't self defense, the fact that the invasion was approved by the UN Security Council would still make it 100% legal.

And second, you are using the wrong term for the crime you are alleging. The term you are looking for is "Waging an illegal War of Aggression". The term "Crime Against Humanity" refers to something entirely different.

What's this about brandishing? Proper self defense involves emptying your entire clip into your adversary's chest as soon as you draw your weapon.

I am not sure if any study has been done regarding such politeness that would allow us to say for sure either way.
