Jesus TRASHED the harshness of the Old Testament when he gave us the New Testament (the clue is in the name).
Yet atheists still like to quote from the Old T and for two pins I'd think they were oldfashioned closet fundies..Wink

LEARN, you out-of-date slowcoaches!-
"Through Jesus we are saved, and not through Moses" (Acts 13:39)
"Jesus is worthy of more honour than Moses" (Heb 3:3)
"The law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ" (John 1:17)
"In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent." (Acts 17:30)
"The covenant of which Jesus is mediator is superior to the old one" (Heb 8:6)

Romeo reminds me of the Rush Limbaugh of Christians. Extolling the virtues of Jesus in such a dick way that people actually start to dislike Jesus Himself because of Romeo
.

Do u deem Arizona 's 2 Senators to be theocrats??

No, but I think they have abandoned libertarian positions to accommodate theocratic forces at the primaries. For example, Goldwater was pro-choice on abortion and a supporter of gay rights (which in his time meant allowing gay people to serve openly in the military). The current Arizona senators have paddled back on both; I believe that was a response to strengthening theocratic forces within the Republican party.

Thanks for the 2 Goldwater quotes; I loved them.
Where did u find them ?

I found them at Wikiquote.org, which in turn has references to sources. Neither of my quotes is from the Conscience of a Conservative. They both came from speeches he made in the 1980s.

I dont expect to run for public office,
but if I did, it wud be as ez for me to eat my left arm
as it wud be to abandon freedom of defense, qua abortion.
