Hmmm, this is looking suspiciously like a contest of some sort. Just how severe will the judging be? Will it still be a game of friendly, gentle wit?

I so dislike arrogant, cutting wit, no matter how clever, that I think I'll sit this one out.

I would love for you to join us, Diane. You have to give Spendius a little room........he wears a crocked hat, you see. My wit won't be cutting, I don't think.......but I might bit every now and again. Come on, give it a try and don't take Spendi too seriously...he doesn't. (Miss you and Dys, btw......) Crying or Very sad

Spendius,

I'll try to improve on my definition and I'll PM with it now.

It isn't a particularly good policy reserving judgement. One should dive in with enthusiasm.Any game will go with enthusiasm.

Too many shoulds and oughts.
You can dive in with enthusiasm and still reserve judgement.

Gee Clary-I didn't know that. What do you do when you're half way down off the top board?

Oh Diane-you needn't put yourself to all that trouble of posting in just to say you're not playing. If you hadn't posted to let us all know that you're not playing we would never have known I know but it doesn't make enough of a difference to us when you're not playing whether you post in to tell us or not.

Isn't Lola a kind and tolerant person?

George:-

You should thank me then.A man can get into a whole heap of trouble when he's not worn out and feeling zippy with the urge to be up and at 'em.I started faking being worn out for this reason but it caused a reaction I wasn't anticipating

I think the worn out bloke represents a challenge.(see my EFFERVESCENT acronym).

It most certainly makes a difference to me.
But the sand in the sandbox has become grittier of late.

You can go for the splash, and reserve judgment about the dive until after you've seen the video replay.

Sheer sophistry. One might easily imagine that "enthusiasm" and "reserving judgement" are ideas which didn't exist before the video age.

And they call me cantankerous!

However pedantic one is one couldn't square enthusiasm with a reserved judgement,They verge on opposites. It is cantankerous to try to maintain otherwise. So there!Get out of that.

a) ever heard of mood swings?
b) women are always allowed to change their minds.

You seem bugged by a desire for consistency.

Pedantic people use a space after a full stop.

I have heard of mood swings.

To help us all please use following code to designate posts.

VG- very grumpy. G-just ordinary grumpy.OSG-only slightly grumpy.N-normal etc.

That would help.

Men are consistent. The only thing women are consistant at is inconsistency.

Very Happy At least you get the idea, Spendi-.

p.s. It's in the women's code book not to follow any sort of male-produced code.
