by Nickelodeon as Gak.

Oops, didn't get to post a bluff as we were away for a couple of weeks. I'll take a guess anyway...

#8 looks possible. Ah, what the French will do for a tasty meal.

Felix Noir picks #11. Cats do that quite a lot too, you know.

Alrightee, then!

The results for GECK

1) A sticky slime with no particular use; commercialized in the 90's
by Nickelodeon as Gak. wcbethmd's slime slipped by everyone.
2) Any of the sharp points on a medieval mace. jespah was struck by
Equus's bluff.

3) One tenth of an astromical unit. littlek's bluff left us
starry-eyed but unconvinced.
4) A character in Thomas Mann's 'Death In Venice'. panzade's novel
bluff found no readership.
5) A scurrilous person; one who uses offensive language. Biblio's
bluff was just too scurrilous for words.
6) Pleating aid which ensures tartan remains aligned. ehBeth's
well-aligned tartan attracted littlek's notice.

7) A V-shaped roof trellis. Hiama's trellis was over our heads.
8) A castrated goose, raised for fois gras. jespah's unlucky goose
whetted the appetites of Clary, Diane, and ehBeth.

9) To eviscerate. realjohnboy's incisive bluff got under Equus's skin.
10) An object of scorn; a dupe; a gull. The real answer. Not duped
were realjohnboy, Bibilophile and Hiama.
Three points to
justthefax for submitting a correct answer in the bluffing round.

11) (Of a baby) to regurgitate a small amount of liquid. Clary's
bluff was quickly wiped up by Jameson and Felix Noir.

Here's my calculation of the current standings. Please let me know if
my math has gone astray. It wouldn't be the first time.
The scores are in the format:

Current score -- Member(previous score + new points)

At 14 -- justthefax(11+3)
At 11 -- Clary(9+2)
At 9 -- Bibliophile(7+2); Equus(8+1)
At 6 -- George(6+0), jespah(3+3)
At 4 -- ehBeth(3+1), Diane(4+0), Felix(4+0)
At 3 -- realjohnboy(0+3), Jameson(3+0), wcbethmd(3+0)
At 2 -- Hiama(0+2), littlek(2+0), firstthought(2+0), cav(2+0), eva(2+0),
panzade(2+0) and taffy(2+0)

Yes, sweet little teddy bear, it is the start of a new game. We sometimes like to play with the new word like a cat with a mouse, except in our case, the mouse quite often wins.

Oh, and can someone PM me for my bluff? I can't send messages yet, I'm just a Near-Enthusiast...lol!
Very Happy
