hummmmmmmmmmm.........maybe I'll play. Are we keeping score? Or can I just jump in as usual? Hi everyone........I hope all are well.
well well wellllll, hiy aLola, welcome back! Your thread seems to be quite active. Jump away!
Hey, this round is in its infancy, anyone and everyone can play - just to remind you, the word is
ZAX
ZAX. I've got to remember that word for scrabble. Ooh yes, that'l score big points.
Naj
It's a wonderful scrabble word, isn't it?
If you can put it on triple word value... Well, that would add substantialy to your score, yes indeed ;-)
Provided you have a dictionary with ZAX in it, so you can prove if challenged. It may be in the Oxford English Dictionary, but who wants to carry that around playing Scrabble? A lot of the words in this game probably don't appear in a standard dictionary.
ZAX is what posh people do when they are being naughty I think we call it SEX
Oh and isn't it lovely to see Lola-LA la la la LOLA lA LA LA LOLA (apologies to the kinks)
realjohnboy wrote:...Now let's all have
ZAX.
Oh, my
dearie I am married, you know.
Balderdash Zax
I am begining to feel lonely on this thread. I think Felix has disappeared. Lola now that you have dropped-in once again, why don't you suggest to Cheshire that he pop-in with some of his witty wisdom.
taffy
BTW I think Zax is a clarinet played in the style of Acker Bilk: Slurred
Yet Felix has submitted a bluff, despair not!
I have absolutely not the faintest shimmer of an idea, after two days of thinking, so I guess I'm gonna sit this one out ;-)
Naj
Naj,
Neither do the rest of us, believe me-go on have a go
Come on Naj, nobody has a clue, so you'll be in good company. I will post them tomorrow - already have 13 definitions, some eerily similar.
ZAX, in case anyone has forgotten.
Lola!!!.... It's so good to see you here!!!
Clary, I just PM'd my bluff definition.... glad I didn't miss this round....
how about..... a department store in New York City.... ZAX Fifth Avenue....
LOL....
PaL
:-)
Zax makes me keep thinking of a really bad Tom Poston movie from the '60's called "Zotz". He finds a magic medallion and develops strange powers. If he points at something it will 'freeze' motionless. If he says the magic word "zotz", time in the vicinity slows down. But if he points his finger at something AND says 'zotz', that thing will be destroyed.

I wrote a script that was very similar and then lost it on a streetcar in San Francisco. Perhaps I should hire an attorney.
If you come over to England, I'll present your case!
(Did you copyright the script?)
Something tells me the Statute of Limitations has run on that. 'Sides, do you really want to be associated with that piece of, uh, cinema verité?
