BTW, Izzy. Have you ever looked into the etymology of the word titan?
That is, before titan became a Greek word.
It is the Canaanite vocalization of the Hebrew word shietan.

Remember the shibboleth? Canaanites could not pronounce the 'sh'. For them, shietan was tietan.

In a sense the Titanic WAS Satanic; look at the pic again and you'll notice the rear funnel isn't smoking.

According to Greek mythology the titans created the Universe before the gods came along. That would fit in quite well with the notion that the Universe was not created by God but by the "satanic" (blind) Demiurge.

It brings to mind, if I can be serious for a moment again, the question I raised a few pages back, are the trolls conscious of their trollness or unconscious? Some have said just because someone else called them a troll that doesn't make them one, that it might make the one calling 'troll' a troll. Then there are those posting just above here who are clearing trolling on a thread about trolling.

Troll has a negative connotation so no one will admit to that. Also, admitting that one leads others on for amusement would be rare. The above name calling is prevalent and just simple playground chest thumping. We all do it to some extent, but for some it's all they do.

To me, the key part of troll is the high jacking of threads intentionally.

But, I think we all come here for attention.

Good point, Frank...many of us (probably most of us) do in fact come here for attention. Some people push the envelop in wanting that attention directed toward self...but the majority seem to be more interested in having the attention directed toward ideas.

And it cannot be stressed too often that one person's "troll" can easily just be another person's persistence; another's pleading for attention; and yet another's desire to be humorous.
