Hello
Can someone explain to me the difference between "after" and "afterward"?
Thank you.
Have a good day.

@milimi,
These two sentences should illustrate the difference.

The party took place after the wedding ceremony.
The ceremony was at 2.oo p.m. and the party took place afterwards.

After conjoins two events. Afterwards describes the status of one event relative to another.
