I was riding in the car today and suddenly, for no reason I know of, I thought of you guys. And I missed you. I missed this place, even if it only exists in space.

A lot has happened since I was last here. Some good. Most bad. I have kept in touch with our beautiful friend Shewolf. I don't even know what you all know about me anymore. So here goes.

I have two kids; both girls.
Still married.
No job except mom which keeps me busy but doesn't pay a dime (and makes me want to drive into a pole some days).
Diagnosed with a crappy disorder. (perhaps more on that later)
Had a total thyroidectomy. (for sure more on that later)

I'm sort of floundering and this seemed like a good place to come.

Will you have me back?

Wonderful to have you back, Bella. You and shewolf had some threads here that are still legendary. I hope the diagnosis is something you can live with.

Hey an underactive thyroid has been my pet ailment for the last 10 years..Smile
Problem is, blood tests showed it's only "borderline" underactive so the doctor won't prescribe thyroxine and I have to go on sometimes feeling cold and sluggish like a cold-blooded reptile and am looking forward to summer when i can bask on warm rocks along the seafront.
Meantime I've learned to manage it pretty well by switching to non-fluoride toothpates, and grapefruits seem to help too.

It used to make my day when I'd log on and find a red hot thread including kicky, gus, wolfy, slappy etc.

It was usually started by bella. She taught me how to swear properly.

You should find another doctor. I was on the lower end and my doctor still prescribed a dose increase for me.

Non fluoride toothpaste, huh? How does that work? I can't eat grapefruit in quantity because of a medicine I take.

That's a pretty common restriction for lots of medicine people take (including myself in that mix).

Quit smoking after I found out I was preggo with my second. I smoke occasionally if I go out drinking but as for actually smoking, it's been a year.

So glad to see some familiar faces again.

And yes, Jesus was behind my sofa the whole time. Crazy Jesus.
