The world is often unkind to new talent, new creations. But I realize only now do I truly understand what the motto means. Not everyone can become a great genius;but a great genius can come from anywhere.

@oristarA,

Yes, fine, but it's not a "motto".

This is the alleged "motto" part - "The world is often unkind to new talent, new creations." I would replace the comma with 'and'.

@oristarA,
It's said, "The world is often unkind to new talent, new creations," but only now do I truly understand what this means. Not everyone can become a great genius; but one might arise from anywhere.

I wanted to choose McTag's reply as Selected Answer, but then, Dale wrote a better sentence. So I decided to reward it to Dale and gave McTag a Yes click.
What do you say, McTag?

@oristarA,

I think Dale's on to something there. I defer to the greatness of Dale.
