Given the interview I'm listening to now, I should switch to Russia from U.S. men.

After some deliberation, I've settled on my picks:

A: Canada, USA Men
B: Austria, South Korea
C: France, Netherlands
D: Belarus, Japan, Poland, Slovenia

Like ehBeth, I waffled between USA Men and Russia... But Go USA!

@wheel158,
OK, I'm a coward -- I've thought it over some more; out with USA Men, in with Russia...

Which means I (unfortunately) have very similar picks to tgordon92 and realjohnboy, but with a couple slight differences...

Good luck to all!

@olympics2014,
@olympics2014: Please change your Group B Norway choice (sorry for the confusion -- we moved Norway to Group A, and split by gender).

Thanks!

Why unofficial? Has someone already won a medal?

@Jahiegel,
@Jahiegel -- I'd say you're OK -- there's only been qualification rounds thus far.

However, we need to choose another Group B pick (instead of Norway); we decided to move Norway up to Group A, and split by gender. Sorry for any confusion...

Can you please select another Group B pick?

Thanks,
@wheel158

Everyone:

I'll get my scoring list updated tonight with everyone's picks. I believe the first medal event is the Men's Snowboard Slopestyle, beginning at 03:45 am EST.

Here's the best medal events listing I could find (NBC's site is buggy, and doesn't list all the events on the schedule, and Sochi's isn't much better):

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2014_Winter_Olympics#Medals

Let the games begin!

@wheel158,
We should have a pool for the # of #Sochifail incidents. Lots of stuff being reported. Makes you wonder where all the $$ went.

PS Thank you for doing this. Smile

@Skin Rip,
I don' think that you are too late, Skin Rip.
BUT...
Norway has been moved to Group A rather than being in Group B. AND the team from Norway has been split into two teams by gender.
We hope that you can adjust your picks before the games start in earnest.
