PM Harper and President Obama made a bit of a bet on the hockey game that involved beer.
There was also a wager involving the twit, Justin Bieber. Whichever country lost would be stuck with him.

@McGentrix,
I was thinking that it's hard to imagine two men who seem less likely to enjoy beer than Harper and Obama.

Quote:
SOCHI, Russia (AP) -- The Court of Arbitration for Sport says Canada and Slovenia have asked that France's freestyle skicross podium sweep at the Olympics be thrown out because of suit adjustments.

The court says the countries allege French team staffers changed the shaping of the ahtletes' ski pants for better aerodynamics.

The event's rules prohibit athletes from altering their uniforms for aerodynamic purposes.

The sweep by Jean Frederic Chapuis, Arnaud Bovolenta and Jonathan Midol was France's first gold, silver and bronze in the same event at any Winter Olympics.

Canada's Brady Leman placed fourth in the big final, while Slovenia's Filip Flisar placed second in the small final. The court says the countries asked that results be adjusted.

That would give Canada gold and Slovenia bronze, while Russia would take silver.

As an aside, I believe in the future we should do away with Male and Femal splits for winter olympics. Either that or ALL group A needs to be split.

US M - 41 (84)
US F - 43
Ger M - 36 (74)
Ger F - 38
Nor M - 46 (85)
Nor F - 39
Canada - 85
Russia - 107

@McGentrix,
I have to thank Jespah for being slightly better then me. I'm so proud of you! Crying or Very sad

On the other hand? Olympics2014_Nick and Olympics2014_Laura have made a powerful enemy for getting in my way of last place. They will rue the day they picked worse, less successful countries then I did for this august ... sorry should that be february position in a2k's famous quadrennial contest?

Wonder what has happened with the guy who was going to take the mother dog and puppies home to the U.S., if he could work it out.

@fbaezer,
Silver medalist Johnboy congratulates Wheeler on winning gold. I thought that the late surge by Russia might enable me to close the gap. Nyet.
I must admit that there is something about this olympics that leaves a bad taste in my mouth. $50 billion spent. Will Sochi in a dozen or so years be a ghost town like other venues. Fun for a couple of weeks but....
Anyway, thanks to those of you who got this going and kept score us. It was fun.
