You should go for it, Wilso; but only if you feel like it. There are no real disadvantages; the money that you would spend on the classes you'd blow on trying to meet people in bars; and whereas congregating in bars does nothing but perhaps add to your weight, dancing gives to you poise, timing, posture, and rhythym: all of which come in handy in areas other than dancing.

A couple of my male friends rave about the salsa classes they go to (but in Sydney). It may be a good idea to learn a few basic ballroom steps before, though.

I think it's a great idea!

I actually took a class in <blush> disco dancing back in the seventies. Lots o' ladies there and I didn't even have to deal with fear of rejection. We got matched up and we danced.

So there you are holding a woman in your arms, moving to the music. Not a bad way to start something.
