By experimentation as any other scientific theory has been.

Again, Google scholar for yourself if you're still not convinced. However, I myself am convinced that you're perfectly content in being ignorant on the subject and have therefore ceased attempting to learn and grow intellectually.

It has been explained right on these a2k threads for years. I don't intend to repeat it for anybody who has had so many wasted opportunities.

@JimmyJ,
You will begin to recognize patterns to the old timers' posts.

@edgarblythe,
I did get an answer to the question of the thread, though.

Q: Why do people deny evolution?

A: Because we prefer ignorance.

You got that right.

@edgarblythe,
Some are ignorant unintentionally. If I am ever able to reclaim my mind my steel door will open.

I think JimmyJ found the answer to his own question.

Hopefully this thread will still be here when I am able to print a copy of it.

Should I not come up with arguments for the heck of it?

I do like knowledge. Feel I am being kept from it. This is a mental situation with me.

You're wrong again, spendius.

You really are dumb James. Or obtuse.

There are females in evolution. Not ladies.

And I said that the presence of ladies here inhibit how I discuss the subject. How could I be wrong? If they don't you then you lack understanding of evolution and etiquette.

Females don't use separate toilets. Only ladies do that. It is not unknown for feminists to test the law on the matter.

Do you copulate only at certain seasons? The rest of us make love all the year round.

Fowler's English Usage has nearly 3 pages on the matter and that is a lot for such a book.

You're getting carried away with the excellence of your punctilious scientific piety.

Okay. But full blown honesty will result in you being a social pariah. If you're not a social pariah you must have compromised your honesty.

Any plonker can assert that they are honest.

He will not. But evolutionists have no particular reason not to be sexual perverts if they are inclined that way.

But we prefer it for pragmatic reasons on this subject. And 2,000 years of Christian ignorance cannot be dismissed with a wave of the hand and a glib phrase.

"The truth is obscure, too profound and too pure.
To live it you have to explode."

Bob Dylan.

You're faking it James. It's an aggressive gambit in an adult. That's why the observation that the emperor had no clothes was put into the mouth of a little boy. The idea that the adults in the scene needed to be told is ludicrous.

@spendius,
Spendi, you are placing yourself among the book burners, the suppressors of Galileo. You could yet make Fahrenheit 451 a reality.

I don't know what you mean ed. You are supposed to rebut the statement that evolutionists have no particular reason not to be sexual perverts if they are inclined that way.

Darwin and Malthus were opponents of artificial birth control. I suppose they thought that only members of their class would use it and that they would end up being swamped by the lower class. As had happened in the recent past in France. And in Rome in Augustus's time.

And if we blow ourselves to smithereens one way or the other the suppressors of Galileo would be proved correct. From an evolutionary point of view I mean.

@Romeo Fabulini,
Per the theory of evolution, the vast bulk of all fossils should be obvious intermediates. In real life, they have yet to find the first one.
