@JimmyJ,

again, as I've tried to explain to you, science doesn't care if you think it's "nice" to believe in evolution or not.

You can mess about with as many test tubes, petri dishes, centrifuges and microscopes as you can requisition, James, but if you keep that up you'll never be a scientist however many people you can persuade otherwise.

You're using science as a persona prop. Like many another on here.

@anonymously99stwin,
You learn from past mistakes. If a child is fucked up in the head from having been abused throughout their childhood years there's nothing that can be done. That child is stuck until that child becomes a young adult. Once an adult, by that time that individual has either learned from their past or not.
That person is left being stuck with a fucked up head from their childhood years.

@anonymously99stwin,
It is called being open minded.

Why shut yourself off to the world around you unless you have a logical explanation. to do so.

@spendius,
Science deals in evidence and fact. It does not care if you think it's "nice" to believe in evolution.

I will repeat this again if you ignore it again.

You're saying science has feelings? What does it care about?

@edgarblythe,

I thought I understood you better, neo. I did not know you were claiming evolution to be an untested hypothesis. You are so wrong here that I have nothing to say about it. Evolution is a solid theory. On that point there can be no give and take.

But, ed, there are different ways of thinking about it and of applying it. There is give and take on those things. I don't think that applies to any other scientific law.

The word "evolution" might be used in as many meanings as there are people to use it. Although people using it to pin a medal to their own chest or to pursue a personal agenda seem pretty common.

One needs pretty strong nerves, or a low intelligence, to think about evolution in the true light of all its horror-show ghastliness. It's nicely sanitised as just a word so that the young ladies in the teacher's training colleges might discuss it tastefully and with acceptable decorum.

She said, "I became a freak".

@anonymously99stwin,
To control the mind the right nerves, part of the brain has to be hit, tapped into. At the same time it takes time for things to be processed. Don't get upset, aggravated, annoyed with the fact. Accept it, have patience.

@anonymously99stwin,
Carry on thinking I need lessons on evolution if you like. It is no skin off my nose.

Activity is the method most people use to avoid becoming a bit down. Human evolution seems to show that getting sustenance, shelter and protection required constant activity and after 2 million years of that organised religion produced a situation that achieved those objectives with a decreasing amount of activity. In many cases with no activity at all.

So activity gets more difficult and even quite strange. Such as a trip to Paris to purchase the next season's outfits from the most prestigious houses of fashion. But I'm a bloke so I would say it was strange wouldn't I? I would bet that ladies who do that have the least number of babies. In which case it has extinction written all over it.

I'm over-simplifying to make a point. There might well be something in it from an evolutionary perspective but I cannot think what it might be.

@spendius,
I wrote about the raw truth of evolution. What you choose to make of that is a separate question.

@izzythepush,
No, it doesn't have feelings and that's my point. Spendi is attempting to make the argument that it's "not nice for society" to believe in evolution.

@edgarblythe,
Spendius has pretty much not even attempted arguing evolution's validity with science.

He knows the evidence isn't on his side lol which is more than we can say for most (neo, gunga, etc).

@JimmyJ,
Spendi has admitted that he knows evolution to be real. He is just upset about social repercussions.

If I were to meet all of you I'd probably say nothing unless required. Because my love for each. I must love everyone because I'm personally not much for words. Mature love.
