Denzel Washington really is brilliant in that film.

@izzythepush,
Gosh!! That's how gushing schoolgirls talk izzy.

"In rut" is more appropriate on an evolution thread I suppose.

It came out in 1964 and is an American film. Believe m,e I know, nobody says governor, nobody.

I know that, but it was based on Pygmalion, by Shaw, an Irishman, who spent a great deal of time in London. I believe you ought to blame this Dubliner for the Americans' misconception.

@edgarblythe,
We're not under the misconception that Americans still talk using 19th Century vernacular, despite all the Sam Clemens.

I thought Shaw was off limits for evolutionists.

A question, if I may.

I've seen you assert that there is no evidence (which I am taking to mean, no substantive, unambiguous evidence) for "macro evolution"...and you claim therefore it is a hoax.

Leaving aside whether there actually is or is not any evidence for macro-evolution...

...if there actually were none, why would that mean that macro evolution is a hoax?

Are you asserting that everything for which there currently is no evidence...cannot exist...and therefore any assertion in that direction is a hoax?

Yes, you may, BUT yoyu just proved you don't have read all my postings,

You do not have to prove that, Q, I readily acknowledge that I do not. It pains me to read as much of what you write as I do...and reading everything would be like condemning myself to hell.

because I have earlier stated that the 'evolution hoax' was erected by people of the Lunar Society of which the Grandfather of Darwin was a member ( If I recall correctly) in order to steer people away from spiritual truth and no I am not speaking religion now.
It was purposely flawed from the start, hence everything build on it is also flawed! Don't you see that logic?
'evolution' theory is a CONTROL TOOL, as All of science is.

So you are saying that "all of science" is "wrong", because of what is written by people who were members of the Lunar Society.

Wow!

Okay, I get that.

Now I have a better understanding of some of your other posts.

You would have been right at home with a group that used to meet here in A2K...(I think) it was called the Tin Foil Hat Brigade.

Quote:

Btw this is from the 'elderly of Zion' (btw NOT written by jews, it was supposedly writen by jews so they would get the blame if it came out)

Anyway:

Quote:
PROTOCOLS OF THE MEETINGS
OF THE LEARNED ELDERS OF ZION

(..)
DESTRUCTIVE EDUCATION

3. Do not suppose for a moment that these statements are empty words: think carefully of the successes we arranged for Darwinism (Evolution), Marxism (Communism), Nietzsche-ism (Socialism). To us Jews, at any rate, it should be plain to see what a disintegrating importance these directives have had upon the minds of the GOYIM.

Right? And because it is a hoax, there is no evidence , was never evidence and will be never evidence.

That is alway the case if one deals with hoaxes Wink

Sometimes the outcome of a conversation or discussion can be determined by the parties doing the discussing or conversing, Q...I do agree with you about that.

You really would have loved the Brigade.

Carry on!

In which case my advice is to avoid Shaw and stick to adaptations on the silver screen.

Speak for yourself. I suggest you watch movies like The Bible and Mel Brooks' History of the World for your information sources.

I didn't realize he was quite that far out, FM. I've been reading bits and pieces here and in other threads...and I just wanted to be sure.

I guess I am not certain...but he does seem to be living out near Neptune.

wow , how rational and oeps 'scientifc'!
Because you think thinks are bizarre they must be not true!
How openminded!
History has shown time and time and time again that the 'scientist' were very very wrong.
But it all becomes understandable once you see that 'science' is nothing more than a 'belief system', that is, a religion.
And if people don't think according to their more than idiotic rules: blasphemie!

It really is all just religion and they don't get it.

I am very open minded, thank you.

History doesn't do that. Other scientists do it. They have a nasty habit of correcting themselves when they find out they are wrong.

Nonsense.

It certainly sounds as though you are saying that...although I will acknowledge that you are not saying it very well...so perhaps I misunderstood what you almost said.

Feel free to revise it and make your point clear.

Any aboriginal Australian bush rover who has a modicum of knowledge about the folklore of his ancestors will confirm that to be true. I imagine such a man had no conception of freedom let alone be getting all soppy-like about it.

A man such as ourselves in a great many respects despite a few minor physiognomic differences due to the topography and not unlike the superficial differences between, say, finches' beaks about which an untoward amount of fuss is made in order to relieve the credulous of their hard-earned money in increasing increments until somebody get up for pulling the plug.

@Frank Apisa,
it is ok you really don't get it and you don't give any argumenst at all.
Just saying 'nonsense', 'nonsense'. and 'nonsense' won't get you anywhere,

Yes, science is a religion and even designed to be. Do some research first.
And also in the history of 'science' you really have no clue at all!.
You think you might have , but you are very very wrong.
