I will admit to being influenced, all through my early life, severe on issues, and then wild and then calmer life, to being attracted to brain mates or, otherwise, people with brains. Sex is part of that or not, but I'm talking sex with it.
I'm quite aware that the swath of men don't think like me.
Is soul mate a female concept? do gays feel they are soul mates?
I remember my business partner (married, loves husband), majestic in displeasure at the idea of soul mates.
I don't think of soul mate as a female concept...

I wonder, as it seems so, but maybe it is that we hear from voluable women..

I think it's rare but it someone feels that way about you they won't be able to let go. Many people have had this and disregarded it not understanding it doesn't usually come along . But when is it both ways?!
