I'm in an abusive relationship where I am the tormenter. After a divorce and several failed relationships, I thought I'd do better. But I can't help it. I guess my anger is a mask that covers up my inadequacies. I want to change. But don't know how to. And I'm not in a position (financially) to go into therapy. So I'm here for advice. Is there someplace I can go for free, or some self-help program? Thanks...
@FranzBBoncodin,
Talk to your doctor (your physician) and ask about low-cost therapy.
@FranzBBoncodin,
you might also check with the local catholic charities in your area.
I have experience with them on the side of the abused.
they may have a program to help you...
@FranzBBoncodin,
Society conditions us to think only therapy can change us but..you if you want to you can do all the leg work on your own. If you want to change you can?! Set out goals..pursue spirituality..exercise . And yes..you may actually have a problem that your physician can help with. Don't give up! Admitting you have a problem is a huge portion of the solution. Good for you. Best and warmest wishes. You can overcome ..many have ..even without insurance!'
