I saw photos on T.V I hope pictures like this will spread around so that people will start thinking with their conscious instead of their greed. I also heard that the Americans administration is afraid of such pictures being spread around and anti-war resentiment might rise again. I'm fully aware that many innocent Iraqi civilians are being injured and killed by US bombs, and that's horrific. Honestly, thoughts like this plague me every day... I do not consider myself truly pro- or anti-war, but that does not make me indifferent.
I would advise anyone in here especially young and sensitive members if you go to these sites, are aware you are going to see dead people.

I can't look.
but i did see one a few days ago on the web and noticed later that the tv media cleaned it up so as not to show the lower half of his body to the viewers. Gotta keep it looking like clean kills. Gosh, didn't that Iraqi look so peaceful lying there on the road?
Saw coverage of the 'anniversary' of the Baghdad bombing and heard a reporter say WOW at the lovely explosions.
I had wept hours when that happened thinking of the scared civilians getting injured or killed.
I swore at the time I would never forgive America.
Now, I don't fogive ANY government for what it does to citizens, it's own or anyone else's.
And I'm mad at civilians for not forcing their governments to stop.
The only difference I see between dictators and democracies is that the latter has a group of dictators.
The suffering of civilians around the world is as much on my head as on the heads of those who 'lead'.
It's time for a major change in how the world operates, and maybe, just maybe, this is the birthing process.
The governments may try to sanitize their actions through the media but with the net, they can't hide what they do for long.
i shall give this blog as an example:

Calm down. The suffering in Iraq that is being caused by the US is real-- whether you think the war is a good thing or not.

If you are going to support the war, you should at least have the balls to face its very real costs. Trying to keep these images from US citizens is the worst kind of cowardice.

We know exactly how many Americans have died in Iraq. None of us have even the slightest notion of how many Iraqis have been killed, whether or not civilian.

Ecellent post, Sam. Many of those who so love war need to have their noses rubbed in the reality of it.

I disagree and hope you stay. Some people literally froth at the mouth when reality is jammed in their face! They would rather it be silenced.

Wilso, I think you are a great guy, and I often enjoy reading your comments, but ones like this make me think that you really need to get professional help! Shocked

If their cause is so just, why the masks?

Because the US will kill them. BTW, if the US' actions are so "just," why are you so bothered by photos of those killed as a result? Real death isn't like it is portrayed on TV. I think that those of you who have so loudly supported this war need to be reminded of the consequences of your desires. You should be reminded daily.
