Lovers and friends, discuss

I've a lot of opinions on these matters but I'd rather hear yours.
It could be about lovers who are also friends, or not, just the heat, the opposition being part of the interest.
It could be about a lover who used to be or still is a lover of a friend.
It could be about a friend who turned out to be a lover and how did that work out.
It could be about a friend who expected to be a lover but was not engaged with.
It could be about a friend who was put off by the friend's interest in being a lover.
It could be about something that worked and then died.
It could be about something that worked re lover and friend and still is working.
