I got my goldfish today

So I got my fish today and its my first time with goldfish. I dont now if they are girls or boys, because I got them at pet smart. But my fish are not leaving echother alone. They will be laying next to eachother. Shuled I put something in there just in case they are mating?

Yes, I would let them sort things out for themselves. It's their tank, afterall.

If you didn't want your goldfish to mate, why didn't you ask the store to only give you a pair of female or a pair of male goldfish. Surely someone working a pet store would know how to determine the sex of the fish they sell. It's their job to know these details.

gay goldfish marriage is not accepted everywhere...

here in Kansas it is considered an abomination.

Female goldfish from Petsmart are fitted with IUD's.
