What is the correct variant?
I proved myself capable in Physics
or

@dalehileman,
However, why didn't you consider doing a Google research, to which you are usually so prone, about this topic?

You would see that there are:

871 hits for "capable in physics".
109 hits for "capable at physics"

For the latter, it's mostly people posting on forums (fora).

For the former, mainly books, like here:

Evidently Einstein considered himself equally capable in physics and philosophy but decided that a primary concentration on physics would be more rewarding.

@McTag,
Of course it doesn't make much difference; but for what it's worth (not very much hereabout) my instantaneous reaction to "in" this the expectation of a geographic revelation, eg, that you're making reference to a specific classroom, one devoted to the subject at hand

So I presented the q to my Better Half, who reacted likewise, responding " 'in' sounds like 'inside' "

@timur,
With all due respect, why don't you also consider googling and see how many advices, informations, and progresses you can find. Apart from this, you can also find how many people would say I is a man and you was a woman.

What a very perspicatious lady she seems to be. If you were good at physics in school, you might wish to study further. If you study physics to a high level, you specialise in a particular field of it.
