@Butrflynet,
I understand that anthropological evidence of relatively recent discovery
has indicated that Europeans were the First Americans, not the Indians.

There is no unambiguous archaeological evidence to that effect. Why don't you educate yourself for a change, and read about the Solutrean hypothesis[/u]. Note the word "hypothesis."

Pretty sure that if you asked any of the aboriginal tribes people in the 13-1500's not a single one of them would have said they were Americans.

I am very anti-government and anti-authoritarian in general,
but alas, I cannot claim the coveted title of anarchist
because I see some valuable functions of government,
e.g. co-ordinating wars and coining $$.

Yet, I 'd be very entertained to frequently read
of collectivist politicians frequently being dragged out,
stripped, tarred and feathered (just a daydream)
simply to remind them that the Individual Citizen
is the Creator of government and their Supreme Master.

I daydream of the Individual Citizen being accorded
the same kind of welcome in government offices
as a Marine Corps Drill Instructor receives from his recruits.
Sadly, I discern some flaws in my scheme, including
conflicting orders forthcoming from different citizens,
but in spirit anyway, that 's a good way to treat government.

Is that sufficiently anarchistic for u ?

@OmSigDAVID,
It proves what an ass you are. Do you avoid driving on public roads? You should move to Somalia and enjoy their govt.

I'd prefer that U move to Somalia.
I am not aversive to public roads,
but I 'd like to see government being progressively enfeebled,
weakened and debilitated in its domestic jurisdiction.
The private sector shud take over progressively more of the economy.

Perhaps, like smoking, use of government shud be progressively
reduced
(maybe 5% or 1O% per year in domestic jurisdiction).

Thus, the Individual Citizen will be AGGRANDIZED in his liberty.

@OmSigDAVID,
Dave is a libertarian and those folks are well known to periodically leave the planet in how they divest themselves of "common sense".
His definition of an "enfeebled government" would also be appended to an enfeebled economy and an enfeebled standard of life.
The oligarchs would reign and would probably employ their own armies. I kinda like living in todays culture.
Question, In Daves world.
Could we have industrialized so quickly to fight and win WWII?

Could we have faced the Soviet Union? (All those who credit Ronnie Reagan for defeating the USSR forget that it was helped along by VAST investments in weapons and armaments

As It Stands Today;
Medical advances in pharma are only as a result of massive "Tax vacations" and product protection so that research money can be recouped.
In Daves world Wed still have 10 year old kids as "Breaker boys"

In Daves world Food would be like that in a third world country and disease control would be non existent

In Daves world Id see roads being built by local governments whod charge arms and legs to travel nd large swaths of the country would be unconnected both by transportation and communication.

Even mass transit, like a train system couldn't be easily accomplished because local governments would hold economies hostage

If we lived in Daves world, would there even be a thing like the United States? or would we be a Balkanized bunch of warring state-countries?

Canada would just walk in an syrup us into slavery.

Protect our way of life against the vicious syrup brandishing Canadians

Repudiate Daves World!!!

Exactly! They'd refer to themselves using words in their own languages, god damn it!

Aside from having stated the obvious--to most, at least--what's the point you're trying to make, exactly?

@InfraBlue,
There has been some evidence
that the first Americans were from Europe;
that the Indians got here after thay did.

Taking that as a given, they'd refer to themselves using words in their own languages, nevertheless.

When you say the first Americans do you mean people in the United States? Because Canada is part of North America and it seems I read somewhere there's an entire South America too.

The farmer believes that liberty
is senseless; from that, I dissent.

I deny that the free market produces enfeebled standards of life.

Yes, but I have admitted that co-ordination of wars
is something that government does well.

Yes. True; we took our name from the freedom-lovers
who executed the Boston Tea Party: the Sons of Liberty.

I accept that in the spirit of Original Americanism,
which is the motivation of the Tea Party movement,
to fight against cheating i.e.: liberalism
