In a handbag/knapsack/cupboard, there are some places rather difficult to perceive and people tend to put secret things in these places. Are they called false compartment? If yes, are there other names? If no, what are they called?

handbag/knapsack - stuff pockets, stash pockets

cupboard - cubbyholes, secret compartments, stash holes/compartments

Hidden compartment is more appropriate. The compartment isn't false, it's real.
