I have this weird eyelid problem. I get these crusty flakes around my eyelashes and I can't seem to stop scratching at them. I don't get any swelling but at times I do pull my lashes out by accident... I really hate it but its a bad habit I've had since I was around 10. I'm 16 now and I'm worried. I know it isn't blepharitis because there's no swelling and it's not crusts. It's skin flakes like a sunburn but harder and flakey. I don't want this habit for the rest of my life and I want to end the dang flakes can someone help?
@Happythorn07,
No help here. I sounds like a medical problem that should involve a doctor.
@roger,
But I don't know who to ask. And I don't have any doctor appointments any time soon.
@Happythorn07,
It would be in your best interests to ask a doctor. Have your parents make an appointment. It is unethical for anyone who is in medical profession to offer you medical advice without seeing you in person ...besides which A2k is a forum made up of lay people.
@Happythorn07,
First thing is that don't touch your eyes. Instead, whenever you feel uncomfortable just go and wash your face. Second, consult a dermatologist.
@roger,
Yes you checkup a well none doctor. I mean eyes specialist.
Apply moisturizer around your eye lid or apply milk cream at your eye lid before you go to sleep.
