Democratic Colorado Supporters of gun control Defeated

Reply Tue 10 Sep, 2013 10:52 pm

The President of the Senate of the State of Colorado
supported oppressing the liberty of the citizens with gun control.
He has now been thrown out of office for so doing.
He has conceded defeat in an ignominious recall election
wherein the anti-freedom side was well funded
by leftist billionaires.

The defeated Senate President's partner in liberal crime,
State Senator Angela Giron is LOSING in the same recall election,
by about 6O%-40% in favor of firing her, for her support of gun control oppression.

Sic semper tyrannis

LONG LIVE FREEDOM in America !

Colorado State Senator Angela Giron, a supporter of gun control legislation,
has been repudiated and fired by the voters of her District.

With 1OO% of the votes counted, she was defeated by 56%.
Ex-Senator Giron has conceded defeat. Sic semper tyrannis

The Bill of Rights is VINDICATED. Liberalism is thrown down in ignominy.

@OmSigDAVID,
I can really get into recalls, I think they are a bad idea, but this will be a wake up to rural dem office holders that following big city dems and defying their constituents can eliminate their day job.

@hawkeye10,
People might well LIKE
having their rights of self defense remain fully intact.

Government has no more authority to interfere with civilian possession of guns
than it has to make people go to Church, if thay dont wanna.

Anti-freedom billionaire Michael Bloomberg donated $35O, OOO
to preserve in office the 2 authoritarian collectivist State Senators
who supported his rejection of freedom by victim disarmament.

It did not work. Their victims fought back thru the electoral process.

FREEDOM WON!

DEMOCRACY IS NOT Always FOR SALE.

If I were a "DEMOCRATIC" Party member of the Legislature,
then I 'd be real quick to pass a legislative REPEAL of any and ALL gun control in Colorado,
making Colorado a State with NO gun laws, like Vermont.

That 'd show compliance with "the rule of the People" and FREEDOM wud prevail.

@OmSigDAVID,
I am finding interesting comparing the two recalled members comments which basically boil down to "whatever" and the national watchers, one of which said that this was a much more important national political development than was The Professors speech.

This is just a harbinger of the disaster that faces the Democrats in 2014 and 2016.

Having wasted every bit of his political capital throwing a fruitless tantrum against the NRA, Obama has no chance of achieving any legislation in his second term now.

And after four years of a do-nothing presidency, the voters are going to want to change which party controls the White House in 2016.

@OmSigDAVID,
There was an 8:1 spending ratio between the pro recall and the anti-recall people. Guess who was spending more? The anti-crowd way outspent the pro groups. It just goes to show that money doesn't always an election make. People really do have the ability to see past the BS and do the right thing.

I have a feeling that Obamacare is the big albatross...a failed big government program that not only fails to solve the problem it was designed for but makes it worse(the dysfuntional health system)....and makes americas biggest problem much worse (debt). extensive limits on personal freedom by the states police is but a plank in the dem mantra of "big government is your friend", and it is citizen support of big government that is rapidly failing as americans come to understand how abusive and mismanaged this government has become.

NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg must feel rather foolish,
investing $35O, OOO into the campaigns of the anti-liberty losers.
