Why is it so important to refute Christianity?

No condescension intended. Simply from what I read, it seems obvious to me that this whole thing with islam is reaching a point at which everybody in the world will shortly have to choose sides, and I simply do not see secular humanism as a viable side.

As Liz Michael puts it, Allah might or might not trump Jehovah, but he easily trumps Mammon.

The first to move an any large migration tend to cling more strongly to the ways of their homeland than subsequent generations. With all due respect (however much that is), I fully expect that secular humanism will have won out, if it has really been threatened, in Western Europe.

In 25 years at present trends, France will be more than half muslim. Muslims start trying to take over at about 15%.

Well, just a little, but only because I know how difficult it is to support your side.

Really though, I think we all learn something about ourselves as well as the viewpoints of others in these discussions. The difficulty is keeping it civil with such an emotional subject.

The problem with atheists is they haven't written out any of their doctrine, or elected a leader. Unless Rush Limbaugh does more than I realize... or suspect anyway. Atheism would be more respected if you guys gathered on weekends to syncronize your opinions, like we christians do. Maybe even on wednesdays for some recreational activity. That's why we Christians are always so much more consistant than you guys (the weekend activities, not the wednesday ones).

Mesquite, are you atheist? I supose I should know by now.

They have a leader, but they don't realize it. He hates them and can't
stand the sight of them as he does any human, because
they are made in the image of God. When he is through with them he
kills them. God says, if you are not for Him you are against Him. That automatically puts them in the antiChrist camp with a doctrine. I think it
is refered to as "the doctrine of demons". They have nothing to do, but
try to undo and mock God . So, it doesn't need to be written down. It is
the same old
garbage recycled over and over as it has been for centuries. They could not congregate, because when they aren't fighting Christians they are
fighting each other. They manage to have philo love (the conditional
kind of human love), but no agape love (the God kind of unconditional love) that holds holds Christians, who are listening to God, together. The
ones that aren't walking in the God kind of love fight with each other
just like heathens do.

Maybe I am just dense Cephus, but where is the problem here. I choose to believe that marriage is and always has been defined as a union between a man and a woman. How does my arguing against gay marriage prohibit me from believing than an individual has the personal right to practice homosexuality?

It isn't true that marriage has always been between a man and a woman. In fact, if someone has a sex change, they can legally marry someone of the same genetic sex today. Marriage has only been between men and women in the Judeo-Christian tradition, other cultures have routinely married same-sex partners.

But I'm sure you don't care about the truth, you're quite happy with your head in the Bible.

Oh, man... you realize you're talking about actual people? Your doctrine makes everyone an anti-christ. Charity, which Christ taught, is partially seperating people from the things they do. I think God probably cried when cain fell, when Judas fell, when Hitler fell and so on. He loves his children. You attribute hate to him, which I could never agree with.

I apologize, I wasn't nearly as quick to post as I had thought. That last post was directed at you, great, in response to this. I thought it was a bit rude.

I am sorry you came that conclusion. It was not my intontion
to be rude, but to get to the point. God's point; not mine. It
was not my doctrine I was talking about. If His Word doesn't
tickle ears, then I am not the one responsible. My delivery
may have been to blunt. I am not in the sugar coating business
and neither is God.

I have no idea how you came to the conclusion you did about
what was said. God loves all men regardless and satan hates
all men regardless. It does break Gods heart everytime anyone
dies without Him. He cries when I don't do things that please
Him. And yes I do things that do not please Him. If I said
something above, that was not of Him and it did not please
Him, then I am accountable to Him and ask His forgiveness
and anyone else it effected.

all men regardless.

I am sure there are plenty of athiests that are better than
me. Since when did being good or better put us in right standing
with God? You do know what He calls our self made rightousness
don't you?

You're right in that I jump to a lot of conclusions. Perhaps I just interpreted the mood incorrectly. Anyway, I don't think any offence was intended on either side. Group hug!

You bet. I'll give you double hug and an apology even
though it was not my intention to cause you or us any discord.
