Do we really have to take military action to Syria?

@peter jeffrey cobb,
Why is there a movement that wants to impeach the government? What do they want? Better education? lower taxes? Something? What is motivating these people? What are they looking for? What would be brought to the Peace negation table so that there can be the minimal amount of dead and wounded from all sides? What does the current Government want in the negation table?

@Olivier5,
It's not a very adult argument that this guy didn't say the same thing back then.

If you favor Obama then defend him without the silly ass argument that his critics are hypocrites.

They may very well be so but the fact that they are doesn't make one iota of difference as to whether Obama's policies are the way to go.

@JTT,
No they are not and you just can't face it.

Quoting Howard Zinn is the equivalent of farting into the wind.

@cicerone imposter,
The same thing has already been said, and much more eloquently, but thanks for your affirmation.

Typical Oralloy responses, Finn, kinda a guarantee for yourself that you don't have to get into the facts.

Shoot the messenger, denying the facts, and it is fact, is the equivalent of serious delusion. It's clear that you are too frightened to even address what he said.

@JTT,
Guess what JTT, the whole world doesn't believe Zinn is the herald of truth.

You may, and that's all fine, but if someone doesn't only a small minded idiot finds fault with them.

@Finn dAbuzz,
Zinn hasn't created some fictions. He's describing something that any person can see who is willing to look at the historical record with a clear and open mind.

That's just another version of shoot the messenger, Finn.

You shouldn't confuse telling you what you don't want to hear with a sense of self importance. That's like asking for directions and on being given them saying "you're a right ******* know all aren't you?"

You are completely unqualified to comment on these matters. I can tell you things about it which you have never even thought of or have the mental resources to do so. Your a 18 handicap golfer who doesn't seem to have ever read a decent book in your life. You couldn't even read Spengler.

There were 40 odd MPS who didn't vote. On holiday, didn't hear division bell, family reasons. Sheesh!! I have seen MPS carried out of intensive care on stretchers to vote.

It was an option before the Commons vote. They are running rings round you. They are in panic mode. What does Congress know about such matters. It surprises me that it might care. Obarmy's team could easily have spun going to Congress if the Commons had voted the other way. It wouldn't be all that far-fetched for the team to spin him consulting an astrologer to the public's general satisfaction.

How big are our stockpiles of WMD? What are they for? They sure have cost us plenty so they must be for something. Sarin is probably not unakin to horse-drawn artillery pieces in our research departments.

@spendius,
The main thing is to realise that they are all on TV all day long, and making the front pages, looking like nothing else than really Big Cheeses. G8 Summit in Russia, dramatic recalls of chambers of decision, snubs to Cameron, etc etc etbloodycetera, diverted warships, weasel words. I don't think I have heard anything said yet that hadn't got a get out clause tacked on the end. Some of them quite well disguised.

And we got a jogging down steps. Elbows out. Mr Hollande held onto the handrail. Which proves he's gaga I suppose.

One of these days Obarmy is going to leg up and roll down the steps to the feet of the welcoming dignitaries.

Are they any further? One would not expect them to be when they need to take account of the swinging and lurching feelings of the voters.

Ohhh...you are having a bad day...so you are going to throw a snit fit. How cute.

The guys and gals in the Pub must howl over your antics...buffoonery is always great for places of entertainment.

This is just too funny…although you might get more laughs if you just fall down on the floor and bang your heels against it…and perhaps hold your breath until you turn blue. That is what toddlers sometimes do, Spendius…and you seem to live your life in toddler land.

(Somehow I envision you in diapers!)

That sort of thing happens when there is a complete breakdown between parties. That's not what is happening now. Kenneth Clarke was being interviewed on Channel 4 the other day. He missed the vote due to family commitments, but he was paired with a Labour MP who could not make the vote for similar reasons.

So, when does the UN report on its investigation into Syria's use of chemical weapons come out?

In their task to send a message to Assad, I wonder how many innocent Syrians are going to be killed and maimed?

what is the point? all they will say us that they have science that shows that sarin was used by someone, a point that is not in dispute. kind of like watching your daugters belly grow with a baby and waiting for the pregnancy test results from the lab....wont tell you anything you dont already know and wont tell you what you really want to know, who knocked her up.
