Here I am, trolling along hoping for more posts on "the break-up letter" thread, simultaneously watching "World's Dumbest Motorheads", (I'm easily amused and my eyes are tired from reading the papers) a youngish man sitting on a skate board being towed about 12' behind an old Chevy flew into the bumper because the car stopped suddenly and I gasped a tad too audibly. My two high energy dogs jumped straight in the air barking their brains out while checking all the windows looking for my source of shock. I love my dogs, they know more about me than NSA. Oh, hang on a second, I retired from there, ,,,,,,, nevermind.
@glitterbag,
That wasn't very nice, glitterbag. Did you (I) do that on purpose? Frighten the dogs I mean?
@glitterbag,
Of course not, I love animals. It was pretty funny though, they almost hit the ceiling.
@glitterbag,
Dogs are such . . . dogs. So responsive to us. So aware of us. So empathetic to our reactions. So funny.
A cat under the same circumstances would probably have awakened, given you a dirty look, and gone back to sleep.
I love Ds and PCs.
@Roberta,
My girls are a howling good time. If you list Vizsla in the subject line of YouTube a huge load of videos appear. All of the dogs do the same thing my dogs do, they make outlandish noises, very vocal, very very very active and always a ton of fun.
@glitterbag,
My 5 month old hyper puppy reacts that way to everything. If I sneeze, it's a major event.
Dogs are just wonderful. My dogs have all helped to make me a better person.
And they do know us well. Thank goodness they can keep our secrets.
But...if they could talk....
Did you ever read Texts from the Dog? It's a riot. They are phone text messages between a dog and his owner.
Here's a sample
I'm going to post more in the Dog House thread.
@firefly,
Oh my god I almost peed myself. That's so freaking funny, is it actually a thread on able2 know???? I wonder if its only funny to dog owners? One of my dogs woke me up whining early one morning, she was upset because she had torn up 4 rolls of toilet paper and couldn't reach higher to get more. It looked like a blizzard in my bedroom.
@glitterbag,
Put the word dogs into the space that says Search Forums (it is on the right on the New Posts page).
The first word that shows will be dogs, underlined.
Click on it, and you will see Threads with the word Dog in the title:
The second one, at the moment, is the Dog House:

@glitterbag,
glitterbag, here's the direct link to the Texts from the Dog pages...
http://textfromdog.tumblr.com/
Just keep going from one page to the next one, lots of pages, gave me lots of laughs. Enjoy.
@firefly,
I've been reading the link and laughing and laughing. Guess who isn't laughing, mr. glitterbag. Just because it is 6 PM here does NOT mean I have to make dinner, oh well, I'll be back later. Cheers
@firefly,
You have just created a monster. You told her about The Dog House!
@firefly,
firefly, This stuff is addictive. Help. I have stuff to do.
@Roberta,
Can't help, Roberta. It has me in its clutches as well. It really is addictive.
@firefly,
I like it too, great find, firefly.
@glitterbag,
Admittedly, I'm easily entertained but I'm still laughing after 10 mins.
@Ragman,
Ha ha those texts are so funny. More please.
@Dorothy Parker,
Oh just seen the link. durr. Gonna check it out.
@Dorothy Parker,
Dottie, just google texts with dogs, tumbir should pop up and you can find it from there. One word of caution, if you liked the ones firefly posted, you will be glued to the screen when the site turns up. Have a barking good time. One of my faves was the "dogs" impersonation of Sean Connelly's dog, WOOFSSSH
@glitterbag,
This post died back in 2013, but texts from dog still makes me laugh. I have to thank firefly for turning me on to Texts from Dog.
