Have anyone gone to the links given for free movies?

I been assuming that those links lead to malware sites where your computer will be attacks by every exploits known to hackers or at least all the exploits in the "standard" hacker packages floating around the internet.

I have layers of protections but I am not sure I would like even so to take that kind of risk.

@BillRM,
I have not. Mostly because they are spam and I won't touch them on principle.

However, most of them are probably just sites that claim to offer free downloads and then end up charging you something. Usually there's a monetary motivation behind spam, not just a desire to infect machines (although that could also lead to monetary returns, just not directly).

If you google for free movie downloads you will find thousands of places that claim to provide movies for free, but almost all of them ultimately ask for a credit card. These spam posts we see are probably just an extension of that world.
