NEW tags disappear

It is based on when you last accessed A2K. All topics with new posts dated after your last visit are marked NEW!. It resets each time you leave the site and only marks topics with NEW! created since your last visit.

I'm always logged in. (g'help me)

Once in a while I run into a batch of threads I know I have not looked at, with no New signal. Let's say, three that I'm sure of. I figure it's a passing glitch re the system here or, at least as likely or more, my computer or IP or something. This has always been a short time matter, and rare at that.

So then I look at them. Yes, they are new to me. I continue to live.

It also may be that I shut the computer down, which I rarely do other than put it to sleep, but that might explain what happened in my case, whenever.
