I am new to this site.
No offense, but I don't care for this thumbs up/down feature.
My questions about the site get answered, but the reason I'm here, to get grammar help - my question gets a zero so people don't even read it and I'm not helped.
Oh oh. This is a comment not a question, so I guess I get another zero.

@CRW,
People use the thumbs in different ways.

Some people use them as a type of commentary on the thread, others use them to keep their personal viewing pages clean. They thumb things down that they're not interested in - not that they necessarily dislike the topic, they just aren't interested. For example, there is a smallish group of people here who like word games (I'm one of them Very Happy ). A lot of people aren't interested in word games so thumb all of them down so they don't need to see them in their feeds.

The only people who won't see your thread are the people who have thumbed it down (at least that's my understanding of it). Other people will still see it.

Interesting as well as good thread titles can be helpful in getting people to look at your threads. In the same way, precise tagging can sometimes help.

@ehBeth,
So if I title my next post "Who and When - Bare and Naked or Clothed with Commas" I should get more views and responses! Ha Ha
I think I'll try that.
Thank you.

@ehBeth,
boomerang is a poster here with an absolute gift for thread titles that make people look

http://able2know.org/user/boomerang/topics/

and beyond the titles, they are often brilliant threads

It'd be better to title your thread something to do with food!

@margo,
Boomerang has that covered, too. Remember "Pimp my Brownies"?
