To use an overworked phrase "you are entitled to your own opinion, but not your personal facts". Germany is in Western Europe.

Catholicism did, in my opinion. Evangelical Protestants do have the term of "grafted on Jew." That's fairly honest, in my opinion.

An analogy, in my opinion, might be that Judaism is like when there were just plain vitamin pills. Then along came vitamin pills with minerals. They can do more for one's health. However, some people just buy plain old vitamin pills, without minerals, regardless of all the benefits of the additional minerals in the vitamin with mineral pills.
