@Region Philbis,
I so wanted KG to be healthy for this one. I still think it'll be interesting.

@panzade,
I'm very proud of the Boys in Green. After all St. Patty was alleged to have made the snakes leave Ireland. His spirit watched over them and almost pulled out a win. Doc Rivers sure is one hell of a coach.

Incidentally, besides the fact that snakes were gone from Ireland well before St. Patrick's time... I heard snakes are making a comeback in Ireland. Due to the economic downturn, people who had been able to feed their pet exotics have been letting them lose in Ireland.

@Region Philbis,
They did well without KG and Rondo and Green is a revelation but the Heat's defense kept choking the Celtics output more and more as the game progressed.
The winning shot by King James was the signature of the best player on the planet as somebody said.

What's the next hurdle? San Antone maybe.

@panzade,

at this point i think it would be smart for them to drop a game.
rest james and wade on the 2nd game of a back-2-back.
get rid of the distraction, and save some bullets for the playoffs...

@Region Philbis,
Agreed. Especially with the part about getting the streak over with and resting LeBron and Wade and Allen for a few games. Spurs may help them with that by breaking this streak.

I don't think it was a matter of Celts took their foot off their throttle. Heat have another gear BOTH on Offense and Defense. They're a juggernaut. They're now so comfortable playing together they can apply that extra gear at will.

With Rondo and KG out, after Green scores like a madmen (bless his soul), Celts don't have a scorer that can keep up with those wascally wabbits. Love Pierce and he has the will to win but he is not quick enough no mo. Heat are physical and quick all the way to the last second of the game..

There's no way the Heat are gonna drop a game without a fight. The streak has a life of its own.

Last night they came back from a 27 point deficit.

27 points!

@panzade,

alrighty then, but no complaints if they get eliminated by a team that runs them into the ground...

@panzade,

let's see...
the heat are 53-14... so 15 games left, and they need 9 to tie, 10 to break.
i spoze they could break the record, and then rest up...

Anybody not watching the Heat right now is missing some beautiful basketball.
31 assists on 37 baskets. 15 3-pointers against the Magic.
Pat Riley was on that '71 Lakers team and he's put together a Miami team that might be even better

Looks like the Heat may lose tonight...and I think it is the best thing that could happen if they are looking to win the championship, and not just a record...

Not that loosing is ever good...but winning 37, then having to gear up for the playoffs? I think a team needs to have drive to win...if a team is peaked, I think they crash and burn when they do lose or face adversity...(Patriots, 07)

Watch how tough it is for a team to try to beat the Heat now...now that the Heat will have a drive again...and can peak again...Wink...

If I had the ability, I would book it all right now on the Heat...
