Quote:I picture Langdon as more of a Bill Pullman type. Plain jane, kinda scruffy, but often adorable.
Is that the guy from Independence Day?
hi, i'm a french girl (sorry for my english), I heard 10 minutes ago in the news that Audrey Tautou (Amelie from Montmartre,Nowhere to go but up)
has been chosen to play Sophie Neveu. I'm so happy !!!
IT'S OFFICIAL
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
IT'S OFFICIAL..........
Cast (in credits order)
Tom Hanks .... Robert Langdon
Jean Reno .... Bezu Fache
Audrey Tautou .... Sophie Neveu
2 OUT OF 3 AIN'T BAD!!!
Brad Pitt as Robert Langdon? are you mad? i cannot imagine Brad Pitt in a tweed suit!
In my opinion.....
Robert Langdon: Tom Hanks
Sophie Neveu: Audrey Tatou
Jacque Sauniere: Michael Caine
Bezu Fache: Jean Reno
Teabing: Julian Goodfellows (he's a real upperclass english guy!)
Manuel Aringosa:
da vinci code actors
Langdon - Liam Neeson
Sophie - Sophie marceau
Silas - Jake Busey
Fache - Tchéky Karyo
Teabing - the guy who died in four weddings
Hey there. Just thought I'd share who I reckon should be/should of been cast for the movie...
Robert Langdon - Tim Robbins (he's made for this role - Tom Hanks is a great actor, but I really can't see him playing this character)
Sophie - Naomi Watts
Teabing - Anthony Hopkins
Silas - Steven Segal (He's got the hair length and muscle)
Fache - Reno was a good choice
I'll have to think about the rest.
Here's mine:
Robert Landgon -- Liam Neeson
Sophie -- Audrey Tatou
Teabing - Anthony Hopkins
Silas - Segal might be a good call -- but don't we need someone who's albino?
Fache - undecided...
Neal McDonough of NBC's "Medical Investigation" would be a better choice for Silas:

Tom Hanks
Tom Hanks seems too old to play Robert Langdon. He doesnt seem proffessorish either.
I'm not apprehensive about Hanks pulling off either a younger man or emulating a professor but I think he might be too familiar an actor to it's will be difficult to identify him as Langdon. He was certainly believable as the Russian in "The Terminal."
Re: Da Vinci Code: The Movie
When I read the book I had like my favorite cast pick out. What do ya think? If you don't know who they are just search them on google.
Langdon- Tom Hanks
Sophie- Catherine Bell
Teabing- John Cleese
Silas- Sean Patrick Flanery(only albino guy I have ever heard of)
Fache- Billy Bob Thorton
Post and let me know what you think
Who's Catherine Bell?
John Cleese is a good call for Teabing..nice one!

I just don't think he looks anything like I would expect Langdon to look.
