Cast Picks
The director will be Ron Howard, a good choice but I hope that he`ll forget about russel crowe for the leading role.

Dell, dell,dell,dell... sorry for the foolish choice on my picks. Really, Jack davenport and Emmanuelle beart????(who is holder than davenport by the way,not exactly like the book, remember!!!!!!). But is your opinion and I respect that.

"Scanning" all the opinions for the cast, the most wanted are
Langdon-Kevin Kline
Neveau-Monica Belluci/Audrey Tatou
Silas- Jake Busey
Sauniere- Anthony Hopskins
Fache- Jean Reno
Teabing- Ian Holm
Bishop- Ed Harris

Let`s send it to Ron Howard!!!!

Regards

I have nothing to say about the cast.

but i am really crazy about that unbelievable books!
i had lost my sleep for nearly one week!----not less than any horrible tales.

wow, i dont know why. That kind of feeling is just like, cant be described.

i just can say that the author(Dany Brown maybe) is a genius for catching up reader's heart.

SILAS-JAKE BUSEY BUT, I WONDER IF HE ISN'T A BIT YOUNG
FACHE-KEVIN COSTNER Smile THINK ABOUT THE BODYGUARD
BISHOP-AL PACINO
SANUIERE-JAMES GARDNER
SOPHIE-KATE WINSLET MAINLY BECAUSE SHE IS A GREAT ACTRESS AND SHE ISN'T SO SKINNY SOPHIE IS SAID TO HAVE A WOMENS FIGURE
ROBERT-GEORGE CLOONEY WOULD BE ALRIGHT ALSO MICHEAL DOUGLASS MAYBE

I think Harrison Ford should be cast as Langdon.

Does anyone know if Angels and demons will be a film?

Variety magazine has Russell Crowe, together with George Clooney and Harrison Ford as the three Hollywood A-listers all hinted as strong possibilities for playing the lead character of Robert Langdon in the film. In the novel the author even describes Langson as "Harrison Ford in Harris tweed".

It is obvious to me that Sophie should be played by someone non-American. It would be ok with an actress from England who can speal French as Sophie is an excellent English speaker. Someone suggested Kate Winslet and that seems a good idea to me.

Hope the movie makers make as good a casting in this movie as those who have made the Harry Potter movies have.

Bit young for the part--don't you think.

(Or is Bale older than I think)

book describes Robert's voice as "chocolate to women's ears". Considering, Clooney or Crowe would fit this description

Quote:
(National) Nov. 16, 2004 - Tom Hanks is expected to star in "The Da Vinci Code." The Oscar winner would play the part of professor Robert Langdon, who pursues the mystery of the Holy Grail.

Ron Howard will direct the film, which is based on Dan Brown's best-selling novel. Shooting is projected for next year.

Denzel Washington is hitting the "Great White Way." The Oscar winner will play Brutus in a production of "Julius Caesar." It opens at the Belasco Theater in April. The last time Washington played Broadway was 1988.

U2 kicks-off a world tour on March 1st in Florida. The Irish quartet will be promoting their new album, "How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb," which hits stores on November 23rd.

And, singer David Lee Roth is jumping into a new profession. The former frontman for Van Halen is training to be a paramedic. He tells the "New York Post" he's already been on more than 200 emergency rides around New York City. Several weeks ago he reportedly saved the life of a heart attack victim in the Bronx using a defibrillator.

Roth says so far no one's recognized him. His mentor on the job says Roth seems to be taking his job seriously, and you'd never know you're dealing with a famous rock-and-roll star.

Hanks in "Da Vinci Code;" Denzel on Broadway; U2 on tour; David Lee Roth: EMT

I know... tom hanks. It makes absolutely no sense. I'm so tired of hollywood insulting us by slapping a big shot celeb on every adaptation. It's like they have some Top Ten List of Most Recognizable Actors to refer to. It's the same faces over and over. If it's not Tom Hanks, it's Tom Cruise. Or Julia Roberts. It's like they think the story isn't going to sell itself. Am I alone in this or what?Evil or Very Mad
