context: A tourist has just asked directions and to end the conversation, can I say:
Have a good trip.
Apart from this, what can I say?
@dalehileman,
Thanks.
So you think
Have a good trip.
can be used? I'm not sure, because it doesn't sound idiomatic.
@WBYeats,
Why do you have to respond with an idiom?
You give directions. They say thank you. You respond "You're welcome"
@chai2,
Thanks.
But by idiomatic, I mean the usual way of how native speakers use the language, not of or pertaining to idioms.
@WBYeats,
Enjoy your trip/holiday/time spent here in [country].
