Zubeidat Tsarnaev has vigorously denied that her sons were involved in the Boston killings.
U.S. officials who traveled to to the Russian Republic of Dagestan have interviewed at length the mother of the Boston bombing suspects in an attempt to determine how her two sons were radicalized.

no, it's a typo.

typos have become extremely common in media.
nothing gets proofread any more, much to the chagrin of english teachers the world wide...
